Anthropocene Unseen: A Lexicon
The idea of the Anthropocene often generates an overwhelming sense of abjection or apathy, occupying the imagination as a set of ungraspable scales and impossible odds. In this edited volume, Anand Pandian and I explore what is at stake in how we understand this planetary imagina-tion; we also look for ways to plot paths from this present to other less troubling futures. With essays from 86 authors on topics that range from Acceleration to Zoonosis (with many improbable imaginaries in between), the book is at its core, a catalog of ways to pluralize and radicalize our picture of the Anthropocene.
