Meltdown

Meltdown is a documentary produced by The Weather Channel in 2019 to highlight the impacts of melting cryospheres and their global implications. Along with a handful of other experts, I was interviewed for the program to provide commentary on the social consequences of melting ice.

In this interview on BBC Television, I share reflections on the purpose behind our Okjökull memorial ceremony and plaque, noting for instance, that though it is a small glacier and a small act of mourning, it is meant to signal much larger signs of environmental collapse occurring all around us.
